Watson has been very excited to receive two new originals from the artist Sleek - two great pieces with Oor Wullie and Dennis the Menace as celebrations of mischief. These characters always seem to particularly suit Sleek's classic tagged backgrounds, as you can imagine that they might be responsible for the graffiti themselves...
With the recent successes Sleek has enjoyed, from a highly publicised installation at the Beano headquarters in London
, to an exclusive range of limited editions for the Hearts Football club
, the artist's original pieces are more popular than ever.
At this time of year, his work is even more sought-after. From the chats that we've had with visitors to the gallery, it seems like everyone remembers getting an Oor Wullie, Broons or Beano annual in their stocking every year. What could be better than an amazing piece of artwork that also reminds you of your childhood Christmas mornings?
We hope that Sleek's Edinburgh-based fans will be able to stop by the gallery to view these pieces - while they're still here to see! You can also find out more about Sleek elsewhere on our website.
