Jason Cordingley's energetic, expressive landscapes and cityscape art have captivated Watson art gallery visitors since his works first arrived.
He has grown a local following through his paintings of Edinburgh and the Scottish coastline, and has more recently produced some international works featuring cities and landmarks from around the world.
Jason's unique take on contemporary impressionist style means he is able to capture the atmosphere, light and colour of each scene, while drawing the viewer in with vivid colour and rugged texture. The warm humidity of a summer evening in the city, a sharp breeze cutting through rough seaside grass, or the swift movement of a Manhattan street can all be felt through Jason's shades, shapes and hues.
To celebrate the release of two brand new cityscapes, Watson is holding a limited focus exhibition on Jason's artwork. It's a great chance to see a selection of works from Jason, especially for those who are looking for their next piece of art for home or office display.
With so many of our customers requesting edinburgh art, or scenes of the surrounding areas, we never have any hesitation in recommending Jason's work.
As anyone who knows the city and coastline can tell you, it's not just about recognising the shapes of the monuments, street corners or beaches, but about recognising the place itself...
Fourteen of our favourite works are on display, with landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes included in the selection.
Come by and see these artworks in person while you can - the above Edinburgh cityscape has already sold!
